Last Saturday, the 24th inst., a young man named Abraham Starr, living in the forks of the Santiam, near Scio, was kicked by a vicious horse and so badly injured that he died on the following day. Mr. Starr was an industrious young married man and well spoken of by his neighbors. He leaves a young widow to mourn his untimely fate.

HELEN MARIE HEHN HARRISBURG—Funeral for Helen Marie Hehn, Harrisburg, who died June 20, in a Eugene hospital after a two-week illness, will be held Tuesday, June 24, at 1:30 PM, DST, from the chapel of Holman-Hankins-Rilance. Rev. Hal Gross will officiate, and interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.                 Born March 21, 1907, in The Dalles, Mrs. Hehn was a member of the Rebekah lodge. Survivors include the widower, Roy Hehn, sons, Cpl. Roy J. Hehn, Camp Atturbry, IN, and Guy R. Hehn, Harrisburg; a daughter, Mrs. Thelma K. Philpott; brothers, Henry Rutherford, Beavercreek; Charles, Mulino; Walter, Oregon City; and Roy, Harrisburg; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Wallace, Oregon City; her mother, Mrs. Hester Rutherford; and two grandchildren.

  RUTHERFORD—Robert R. Rutherford, 67, of 340 Moore Street, Harrisburg, passed away February 26, 1984, in Eugene. He was born July 28, 1916, in Oregon City, Oregon. He worked in the woods until 1951 when he bought the Shell Station in Harrisburg and retired in 1981. He was a Councilman and Mayor of Harrisburg for 17 years. He had resided in Harrisburg for 37 years. He was a member of the Albany Elks Lodge. On September 29, 1936, at Highland, Oregon, [illegible section] Services will be held Wednesday, February 29, 1984 at 10 AM at the Harrisburg Methodist Church. Reverend Otis Harden officiating. Concluding services at Lane Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert’s memory may be made to the Harrisburg Rescue Squad in care of Murphy Musgrove Funeral Chapel, Junction City.
