Genealogy Trails started out as a site for Illinois that offered tons of free information to help researchers find their ancestors. In March of 2006 they thought it would be great to expand to include all 50 states and went about setting up a network of sites that did just that. I have been busy building sites and trying to get as much information online as possible but I can't do it alone. This is where you come in! I need hosts and you can follow the link above to see if that is something you may like doing but I also need source data! Please consider sharing yours and email me with any contributions, comments or questions.

"Malheur County was created in 1887 from Baker County. Malheur County derives its name from the “Riviere au Malheur” or “Unfortunate River” (later changed to “Malheur River”), named by French trappers whose property and furs were stolen from their river encampment."
