COOS -
A new version of the 1854 murder of two pioneers in early Coos
County, as told by A.H. Hinch in the 1880's, has been contributed to
the site by Janet.
A transcription of the 1893 Coos County Tax Assessment Index is now
online. Presently only the A's and B's are transcribed, but photos
of
all 52 pages of this ledger are online and identified by the first
and
last name on the page. Since no 1890 census exists for Oregon, this
ledger is a partial substitute for that document.
