MARTIN O'HARA

Pittsburgh, Pa.--(Special)-Details of a sad double drowning has reached here from Osceola, eight miles above McKeesport. Martin O'Hara, aged 18 years, and his sister, Mary, aged 15, were drowned while skating on the Youghiogheny. Their brother James, aged 8, also went under the ice but was rescued by men who were at work nearby. The home of the O'Haras is within sight of the river, and the mother of the children saw them sink under the ice. She ran screaming to the river bank and plunged in after them. The rescuers had hard work saving the lives of the mother and James. Martin and Mary were carried away by the swift current and their bodies have not yet been recovered.

EDITH A. OLIVER

Pittsburgh, July 28, mrs. Edith A. Oliver, widow of Henry W. Oliver and sister-in-law of the late Senator George T. Oliver, died this afternoon at her home, on Sewiekley Heights. She had spend the last two winters in Washington with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Henry R. Rea, both of whom took a prominent part in the work of the American Red Cross in the national capital. Her death, which was due to acute indigestion was sudden. She was born on July 27, 1842, and was married to Henry W. Oliver on November 12, 1863. Her husband, who died in November, 1904, for many years took a commanding part in the industrial life of this city as a member of the Oliver Iron and Steel Company. Mrs. Oliver was very philanthropic, having undertaken to continue many of her husband's good works after his death. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. H. R. Rea, of Washington.
