GEN. ADAMSON TANNEHILL

Died at Pittsburg on Saturday morning the 23rd ult., in the 74th year of his age, Gen. Adamson Tannehill, a respectable of Pennsylvania, but had for several years been a resident of this place. - Raleigh Register.

LINWOOD THIESSEN, SR.

On Sunday, October 5, 2003 at age 92 of Longwood at Oakmont; beloved husband of the late Ruth Black Thiessen; father of Linwood (Judith) Thiessen Jr. of Wheaton, IL, Paul G. Thiessen of Beaver, Linda (Thomas) Thiessen Bankson of O'Hara, and Daniel M. (Amanda) Thiessen of O'Hara; survived by 11 grandchildren; brother of the late Gilbert Thiessen and Reinhardt Thiessen Jr.  Born in Kiel, WI and graduated from Schenley High School, University of Pittsburgh class of 1934 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a member of Phi Delta Theta.  Linwood was employed at Vesuvius Crucible Co. in Swissvale for 39 years where he was a chief engineer and the head of plant, equipment, and welfare.  He was active in The American Institute of Mining Engineers, The South Avenue United Methodist Church, Wilkinsburg, boy Scouts of America, Masons and Rotary.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at 1:30pm at South Avenue United Methodist Church, 733 South Ave., Wilkinsburg, PA 15221 where a reception will immediately follow.  Memorial contributions may be made to The South Ave. Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.  Arrangements THOMAS D. ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 378 Maryland Avenue, Oakmont.

ELLEN THOMPSON

Thompson--On Friday, December 15, 1899, at 11 a. m., at the late residence, 3 St. Thomas street, Twenty-Seventhy ward, Ellen Thompson, relict of Thomas Thompson, in the 81st year of her age. Notice of funeral later.

LEANDER TRAUTMAN 

Word of the death of Leander Trautman, Esq., at his home in Pittsburgh, was received by friends and relatives in this city. Attorney Trautman was one of the leading members of the Pittsburgh bar. He was well known here having visited Lebanon frequently. He was a brother-in-law to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Martz of The Poplars.
