Two Boys Drown As Ice Breaks

New Brighton, Pa., Feb. 18 - Warning to other children against the dangers of the frozen Beaver river were made after two young boys were drowned when ice broke under their weight while they played under Fallston bridge about 100 feet from the shore. Bodies of the victims, Howard M. Boyd, 13 and his chum, Frank Conner, 10, were recovered from the stream by firemen Sunday after more than 24 hours of battling against ice and rising water.

Fallston, Pa - Fallston, one of the oldest towns in Beaver county, has achieved two unusual distinctions. Forty-nine of its 500 inhabitants are in the armed services of the country, and it is free of any indebtedness.
