Arnold-Leanord Nuptials

Bedford Gazette (Bedford, Pennsylvania) Friday, August 4, 1899

Yesterday morning at the Lutheran parsonage Walter S. Arnold and Miss Binnie M. Leonard, of Bedford, were united in marriage by Rev. M. L. Culler.  This happy couple left on the morning train for a visit to Atlantic City, Philadelphia and Harrisburg.  When they return they will go to house-keeping in the house now occupied by Harry Arnold, who will move into his new residence on Union street.  The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Winfield S. Arnold.  The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Leonard.  She was a member of the class of '95, Bedford high school.  The Gazette extends congratulations.

Cartwright-Dibert

Bedford Gazette (Bedford, Pennsylvania) Friday, September 15, 1899

At the residence of the bride's mother, Mrs. Sophia Dibert, in Bedford, on Thursday morning at 5 o'clock Miss Jennie B. Dibert was united in marriage to William A. Cartwright, of Oil City.  Rev. Irvin W. Hendricks, pastor of the Reformed church of Bedford, officiated.  The family and a few of the most intimate friends of the bride witnessed the ceremony.  After the nuptial knot was tied a sumptuous breakfast was served.  The bride and groom left on the 9:25 train for an extended wedding trip, after which they will take up their residence in Oil City.  The groom is a carriage painter and is in the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad company.  The bride is an excellent young woman and has a multitude of friends here, with whom The Gazette joins in wishing the happy couple "bon voyage" o'er the matrimonial sea.

Gailey-Ramsey

Bedford Gazette (Bedford, Pennsylvania) Friday, September 15, 1899

William Gailey, of Altoona, and Miss Georgiana Ramsey were united in marriage in the Church of God, Saxton, on Tuesday, at high noon.  Rev. J. A. Detter, pastor of the church, officiated Clarence Huff, John Kelly and George Enyeart, of Saxton, and G. O. Steckman, of Altoona, were ushers; Miss Julia S. Abbott, of Saxton, was bridesmaid, and Edgar Ramsey, of Altoona, best man.  The wedding march was played by Miss Lena Enyeart, of Saxton.  The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Ramsey, of Saxton.  Mr. and Mrs. Gailey will make their home in Altoona.

Miss Maude, daughter of Hon. E. S. Ashcom, of Riddlesburg, was married to John C. Harper, of Pittsburg, in Trinity church, Pittsburg, Thursday, September 7, 1899, by Rev. Benton.  The bride and groom left immediately for a tour of the lakes and will be at home in their residence on Staunton Avenue, Pittsburg, after October 1.  The groom is a prominent railroad man and has been with the Pennsylvania Railroad company for a number of years.  The bride is a handsome, accomplished young woman and has a host of friends in Bedford county.  The Gazette extends congratulations.
