Cambria County was created on March 26, 1804, from parts of Bedford, Huntingdon, and Somerset counties and was named for the nation of Wales.
Cambria County is located in the southwestern section of Pennsylvania. The county seat is Ebensburg.
Cambria's adjacent counties are:
Bedford, Blair, Clearfield, Indiana, Somerset, and Westmoreland
