Destructive Fires
A. H. Warren's Home Destroyed by Fire
The dwelling house of A. H. Warren, in East Mahoning township was totally destroyed by fire on the 10th ult. The fire originated from a defective flue. The greater part of the furniture, clothing, & c., was saved by the exertions of several raftsmen who happened to be working in the immediate vicinity. Mr. Warrens loss is about $2,000.
John Stewart's Home Destroyed
On Thursday, the 11th inst., the residence of Mr. John Stewart, in East Mahoning township, took fire from a spark falling on the roof and was totally destroyed. They saved nothing but the clock. Mrs. S. was badly burned.
Thomas Dunlap's Home Destroyed
On Saturday, the 13th inst., the residence of Mr. Thomas Dunlap, in South Mahoning township, took fire on the shingles at the top of the roof while the family were baking. It is supposed that a spark fell on the roof. With the exception of a small amount of bedding the house and contents was entirely destroyed.
