Gosner, Mrs. James, Jr. "Mrs. Maude I. Gosner, 78 of Martins Creek, died this morning in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born in Weissport, she was a daughter of the late James Edwin and Estelle Bloss Markley. Her husband was the late James L. Gosner Sr. Surviviors include three sons, Franklin O. Thornton and his wife Joycelyn, Easton; James L. Gosner Jr., State College, Pa. and William A. Gosner and his wife Marjorie, Martins Creek; two daughters. Mildred, wife of John S. Sipos, Martins Creek and Alice wife of Charles A. Rooks, Upper Mt. Bethel. Also a brother Elliott Markley, Lehighton; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Willever, Phillipsburg, NJ. and Mrs. Betty Hummell, Jim Thorpe; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Hutchinson Funeral Home, Three Church Hill, Martins Creek. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, Lower Mt. Bethel. " 27 Mar 1973 Easton Express

Gunn, Lydia Albert "Lydia Albert Gunn, 85, formerly of Bangor, died Wednesday in Easton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Vernon Gunn and William Albert Sr. She was a self-employed rooming house operator in Delaware Water Gap for many years before retiring in 1975. Born in Lower Mount Bethel Township, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Violet (Oslin) Lang. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Bangor. Survivors: Son, William D. Albert Jr. of Lower Mount Bethel Township; daughters, Arlen Compton of Bangor and Ruth Horton of Easton; brothers, John and Harold, both of Easton; sister, Joyce Ross of Upper Mount Bethel Township; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by a son, Bruce Albert. Services: 2 p.m. Friday, James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 314 S. 1st St., Bangor. Call 1-2 p.m. Friday." 18 Apr 1996 Morning Call
