Jeremiah Couse Dead
Sellinsgrove Pa., March 22 - Former judge and prothonotory of Snyder county Jeremiah Couse is dead, age seventy-six. He was an intimate friend of the late Senator Quay and for years was the leader of the Republican organization in this county.

Jacob W. Smith, of Selinsgrove, Union County PA, formerly a Lutheran minister, and lately a merchant, committed suicide by hanging, in the garret of his house, on Thursday week.
