Louise S. Devitt

Louise S. Devitt, 85 of 26 Parkview Rd., Rushville, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, December 31st, 2005 at the Culbertson Long Term Care Facility in Rushville.

She was born on Monday, October 25th, 1920 in Jamestown, PA. She was the daughter of the late James Garrison and Beryl Margaret Pitzer Stewart. She married William E. Devitt September 26th, 1942 in Wooster, OH. He passed away February 21st, 1994.

Surviving are four children, Blake E. Devitt & wife Janice of Sanibel, FL, James S. Devitt & wife Tanya of Rushville, Nancy L. Bolander & husband Steve of Estero, FL, Tricia S. Anderson & husband Brian of Rushville; eight grandchildren, Rachel Devitt, Erica Devitt, Brenna Anderson, Jessica Devitt, Katie Graham, Matthew Anderson, Beth Graham, and Blake D. Devitt; a sister, Marjorie Moreland & husband Clark of Rushville.

Louise graduated from Wooster College, Wooster, OH. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rushville, PEO Sisterhood Chapter AL, Pandora's Playhouse, the Schuyler Arts Council, Wednesday Ladies Sewing Circle, and was a founding member of Schuyler Singers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 4th, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church with Mr. David Haney officiating. Interment will be on the family lot at the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Worthington Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the First Presbyterian Church or the Culbertson Long Term Care Facility.
