VIENNA - Mrs William A (Irene A) Davis 65 Davis Drive, died at 6:40 p.m. Monday in Warren General Hospital following an extended illness. She was born Feb. 11, 1913 in Johnstown Pa the daughter of Robert and Jessie Cline Black. Her husband William A. Davis died in 1972. A resident of this area 11 years. Mrs. Davis was a member of Living Messiah Fellowship of Girard. Survivors include a daughter Mrs Charles Barr of Vienna; a brother Richard Black of Brookfield; three sisters; Mrs Betty O'Lenick of Columbiana , Mrs Ruth Caldwell of Masury, Mrs Albert Caldwell of Transfer, Pa and three grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Madasz Funeral Home, Brookfield. Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 tp 9 p.m. today and an hour prior to the service.

Harry L Davis Sr. 93 of New Florence RD 1 died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1986 at Indian Haven Rest Home, Indiana. He was born July 28, 1892 in St. Clair Twp. a son of the late James Harrison and Ada L. (Peoples) Davis. He was a member of the New Florence United Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by three brothers John, Walter C., and Twin brother, Frank L., and a sister, Bertha Rhuland. He is survived by his wife Lois E. (Galbraith) Davis; two sons, Alan and Harry L., Jr., both of New Florence RD 1 ; and a daughter, Martha (Mrs. Ivan) Felton of Armagh; eight grandchildren and a great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, at the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, with the Revs. R. Walter White, and Samuel R. Astolos Jr. officiating. Burial was in Fairfield Cemetery.

Millard F. Decker 88 of New Florence died Wednesday Feb. 22 1978 at Lee Hospital. Mr. Decker was born May 30, 1889 in New Florence, the son of the late William and Nettie (Peer) Decker. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Elsie Bennett and second wife, the former Jean McAdams. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home. New Florence with the Rev. Harold Himes officiating. Burial was in the West Fairfield Presbyterian Cemetery.

The deceased was a member of the United Presbyterian church of this place. She is survived by six children, three sons--P.A Deemer of Brush Valley, Indiana Co., L.T. Deemer of Equitable, and Alex. Mrs. Annie Deemer, widow of the late Philip Deemer, died at her home on Oak Hill, near Apollo, on March 23, aged 81 years. She was born, lived and died in the same community. These children survive: Albert, of Brushvalley; Alexander, of Cochran's Mills; Lemuel, of equitable; Mrs. David Howell and Mrs. James Painter, of Apollo. In 1894 the deceased and her husband celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Rev. Charles R. Deemer, 62 of Bolivar RD1 died Thursday morning, Jan. 13, 2005 in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born April 18, 1942, in Fairfield Twp. a son of the late James and Gladys Laughner Deemer. Charles had been employed at Idlewild Park for over 47 years, having begun working there when he was 15. He was a member of the Fort Palmer Presbyterian Church. He was the secretary-treasure of the Fort Palmer Cemetery. He is survived by a daughter, Peggy S. Deemer of Amherst, N.Y.; a son Russell C. (and his wife, Kristi) Deemer of Bolivar RD1; two grandchildren, Breana and Ethen Deemer, a sister, Jane Eicher, of New Florence; a brother, James N. Deemer of Ligonier; and his mother-in-law, Agnes Tantlinger, of Bolivar RD1. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Jane Tantlinger Deemer in 1989. Friends will be received Sunday from noon to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel Inc. 144 E. Main St., Ligonier. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Fort Palmer Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jim Tomb officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Palmer Cemetery. Donald Blair "Hat" Deemer, 46, of Avonmore, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at his home. He was born Oct. 17, 1953, in Salina, a son of Blair V. and Marjorie L. Bortz Deemer of Salina Perrysville Road. He had been employed for 20 years as a roll turner with National Roll in Avonmore. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survived by his parents; two daughters, Samantha Lynn Augusta and Lindsay Dawn Deemer, both of Avonmore; a sister, Anna Mae Sokolowski and her husband, Dave, of Natrona Heights; two brothers, Robert A. Deemer and his wife, Renisa, of Cape Cod, Mass., and William L. ``Bill'' Deemer and his wife, Virginia, of Salina; and several nieces and nephews. Mr Deemer was born March 20, 1918 in Bolivar, son of the late William Henry and Mary Ethel Jones Deemer. He was an Army veteran and retired from Mechanicsburg Navy Depot in 1978. He attended Battlefield Bible Church. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Stiles Deemer; two children, Joyce Winters of Fairplay, MD and John of Carlisle, PA. Two brothers, Frank of Bolivar and John of Blairsville; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his brother, David Aaron. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Geraldine "Dooker" four children, James "Dave". and his wife Shan Alcorn, New Florence RD 1, and Fred, Mrs. Gary (Jane Ann) Bash and Mrs. David (Kelly) Brendlinger, all of New Florence. Also his grandchildren, Anna Jane, Robert Keshia, Kayla, Derek, Raven and Cheyenne; his sisters Kathryn Lear, Bolivar and Sharon Nixon, Robinson. He was retired from Johnstown America Corp., Car Shop, and was a former employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown Plant. James N. Deemer, 71, of Ligonier died very unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005 at his home. He was born July 15, 1934 in Fairfield Twp. a son of the late James and Gladys Laughner Deemer. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a coal miner by the former Florence Mining Co. He had also worked for 24 years for Allegheny Foundry in Bolivar. After retirement, he enjoyed driving deliveries for the Pie Shoppe in Laughlintown. He was a member of the Fort Palmer Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed spending time in his garage working on vehicles for his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Anna Telford Deemer; two daughters, Pamela Ann Deemer (and her fiance, Timothy Rusin) and Kelly J. Horner (and her husband Thomas), all of Youngstown; two sons, Randy L. (and his wife Penny) Deemer of St. Mary's and Brian L (and his wife Jennifer) Deemer, of Bolivar, nine grandchildren; and a sister, Jane Eicher (and her husband John) of New Florence. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charles R. Deemer and infant Twins, Carl and Clyde Deemer; and a grandson. Aaron Rusin who died last year in Iraq while serving his country. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the J. Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel Inc. 144 E. Main St., Ligonier, where a celebration of Jim's life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Homer Tantlinger officiating. Interment will follow in Menoher Memorial park. Linus Alvy Deemer, 85 of New Alexandria died Saturday Nov. 1, 2003 in his residence. He was born Sept. 5, 1918, in Bairdstown, a son of the late Isaac and Harriet Lucinda (Rupert) Deemer. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the Army Air Forces in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from the Tribune-Review in Greensburg, where he worked in the mail room. Linus was a member of New Alexandria United Methodist Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lulu Marsh and Margaret Shirley and two brothers, Edward and Lawrence Deemer. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Mrs. Irene Yacobucci Deemer of New Alexandria; two sons, Stanley R. Deemer of New Alexandria and George A. Deemer and his wife Kathy of Derry; two daughters, Mary E. and husband Dean A. Sheffler of New Alexandria and Lucinda L. and husband James Nicely of Latrobe; 11 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The P. C. and Mrs. Randolph (Janice) Payne, New Florence; seven grandchildren; sisters and brother Jean Miller, Atlanta, Shirley Stokes and Linda Shetler, Robinson and Wilbert, Bolivar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Donahue; a grandson, Charles Edward Nicholson; three brothers, Duane, Michael and Earl Boring; six sisters, Beatrice Gibson, Mary Belle Lear, Pauline Leary, Grace Howsare, Hilda Rodkey, and Florence Boring, and a son-in-law, James Hall. She was born Sept. 1, 1944 in New Florence, a daughter of Leonard and Florence Crawford Black. Survivors include three daughters, Tami and husband Terry Bischoff of Basom, N.Y., Justin and husband Roy Brendlinger of Joesphine, Marcy and husband Bruce Prentice Jr. of Batavia, N.Y.; a son Scott of Basom, N.Y. Also 10 grandchildren, David, Billy, Terry Jr., Adreann, Kalen, Matthew, Joshua, katlyn, Bruce III, and Jordan; Great- grandchildren Payton and Ayden; sister Betty Redilla, Blairsville and Virginia and husband James Laskey, Elba, N.Y. ; many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Tina Durham and sister of the late Jean and Raymond 'Sonny' Black. Services were held at C.B. Beach and Son Mortuary in Corfu, N.Y.
