Edward C. Kahl 78 of 116 West Third St. Derry died Tuesday Sept. 22, 1981 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pa. He was born Jan. 3, 1903, in Latrobe a son of the late Charles and Anna Kahl. He was a retired mill operator for Derry Westinghouse. He was a member of the FOE Latrobe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen McWilliams Kahl in 1978. Surviving are a son, Charles H. of Latrobe; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Ila) Daniels of Forbes Road; four brothers William and Charles both of Latrobe, Raymond of Bradenville and Joseph of Blairsville; and six grandchildren.

Quinlisk Funeral Home, 548 North Chestnut St. Derry from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral Home with the Rev. Charles F. Olsen officiating. Entombment will follow in Coles Cemetery mausoleum, Derry.

Of Mount Pleasant Dead of Wounds
On Saturday Michael Kelly received a telegram from the War Department announcing the death of Danny Kelly, who died October 13 of wounds received in action. Dan Kelly was a member of Company E, 110th Infantry, and with his Irish wit furnished amusement for the greater part of the company. He was a member of the local high school and was one of the best known boys in town. Kelly had also attended the Holy Ghost college of Pittsburgh and had been a student at the University of Pittsburgh.

KERR - Cleo E. "Petie", 73, Bolivar died Oct. 10, 1990, at Bethlen Home, Ligonier. Born Feb. 16, 1917 , in West Wheatfield Twp., daughter of late Albert and Irene (Bryan) Brett. Preceded in death by husband, Merle J. Kerr, in 1963, and an infant brother. Survived by sons, Lee. C. Kerr, Ligonier, and Robert M. Kerr, Bolivar RD 1; also six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Sister of Helen Lear, Bolivar. Prior to retirement was employed as nurses aid at Torrence State Hospital. Member of Bolivar United Methodist Church. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at J. Paul McCracken Funeral Home, Bolivar, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. R. Kenneth Keiper. Interment, Mount Tabor Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Tri-Community Ambulance, Bolivar.

Robert H. Killen 84, of 19th Street, New Florence, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 1980, at Lee Hospital, Johnstown. Mr. Killen was born Feb. 12, 1895 in New Florence, a son of the late Frank and Anna (Ruffner) Killen. He was a member of New Florence United Methodist Church Ligonier Lodge 331 F & AM, veteran of World War II, and member and past commander of Hood-Vannatt Post 307 American Legion. He was retired from Gautier Div., Johnstown plant of Bethlehem Steel Corp. Mr. Killen is survived by his wife, Lillian M. (Kells) Killen, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Craig of Hindman; two grandchildren, Mrs. Carol Kister of Friedens and Robert Craig of Jennerstown; and three great grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Bess Campbell and Mrs. Mary Erickson, both of Johnstown. Funeral services were held Monday in the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, with the Rev. Harold H. Himes officiating. Burial was in Fairfield Cemetery.

Hazel E. (Roddy) Kintz-Metz, 76, Latrobe, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 1995, in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Nov. 8, 1918, in Wilpen, Pa., the daughter of the late Clarence J. & Mae Hutchinson Roddy. She was retired from Latrobe Area Hospital dietary department in 1981. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Metz; infant daughter, Marjorie Lee Kintz; one granddaughter, Michelle Kintz; two grandsons, Jeffrey & Michael Kintz; two brothers, Earl C. Roddy & Richard F. Roddy; and infant sister, Viola. She is survived by her son, William E. Kintz, and his wife Loretta of Latrobe; two daughters, Patricia A. Keltz & Helen Kintz, both of Latrobe; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 pm Sunday and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Monday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home, Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Services will be held Tuesday at a time to be announced in the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Tustin officiating. Interment in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.

Orpha Jeannette Clark Kinzey, 79 of New Florence died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999 at home. Mrs. Kinzey was born Oct. 23, 1920, 1920 in Bolivar, daughter of the late Harmon and Nellie Wynn Crusan. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, West Bolivar, where she taught Bible school for many years. She also belonged to the Laural Valley Senior Citizens, where she helped by selling tickets, driving for others and so forth. Survivors include two children, Mrs. George (Jeannette) Stiffey, Sanford, Fla., and Jack, Haws River, N. C.; her daughter-in-law Mrs. Bob (Linda) Stull, Bolivar; Also surviving are four stepchildren Paul Kinzey, Virginia Beach, Va., Bill Kinzey and Kathy Kinzey, both of New Florence, and Mrs. Rich (Cindy) Gregorich, New Florence RD 1; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; Also four brothers and sisters, Earl, and Mrs. Dave (Ethel) Emerson, Armagh, Blair, Bolivar, Esther Arford, Robinson; her sister-in-law Betty Crusan, Duluth, Minn. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale Clark and her second husband, Paul Kinzey; her sons Charlie and Willard Clark; her brothers Jim, Willard, Johnny and Clarence; her sister Wilma. Services were held Saturday at the First Church of Christ, Rev. Gabriel Mraz officiating. Interment was in Fort Palmer Cemetery, Fairfield Twp. Memorial donations were suggested to the First Church of Christ, West Bolivar, or the Laurel Valley Senior Citizens.

KINZEY - Virginia M. 86 New Florence died Feb. 10, 2002 at Select Specialty Hospital. Born Sept. 4, 1915 in Bolivar, daughter of late John and Maggie (Yeager) Mundorff. Also preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Jack Mundorff. Survived by husband of 66 years Woodrow H.; daughter Billie Sue wife of Thomas Luther, New Florence; son Mark, New Florence RD 1 ; grandchildren, Kelly Luther, New Florence RD 1; Eric Luther married to Kari Uncapher, New Florence and Hillary Sue Kinzey, Cumberland Md. and Virginia's little boys Mitchel and Mason Luther. Sister of David 'Fritz' Mundorff, married to Ruth Flickinger, Bolivar RD 1; and Sue Zufall St. Petersburg, Fla. and sisters-in-law, Kathryn 'Kay' Mundorff, Bolivar RD 1 and Betty (Kinzey) Elliott, East Brunswick N. J., also survived by numerous nieces , nephews, special friends and neighbors. Member of Faith Lutheran Church and former St. John's Lutheran Church, both of New Florence and Lutheran Christian Women. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday the Rev. Allyn K. Giuffre. Interment Forest lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Associations.

FOWLER- Mrs Hazel Kruppa 54 of King-Graves Road died at 10 a.m. Saturday in Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, after a long illness. Mrs. Kruppa was born Jan. 8, 1921 in Farrell, Pa., a daughter of Robert and Jessie Cline Black and came to this area as a child. She was a member of Hartford Community Church. She leaves her husband, Victor to whom she was married seven years; two sons Ronald Gates, of Hartford, and Edward Gates of Vienna; three stepsons Victor Kruppa of Cortland, Peter Kruppa of Hartford, and John Kruppa of Brookfield, two daughters Mrs Perry Beaver of Vienna and Mrs Gary Houser of Farmdale; a stepdaughter Mrs Joseph Passafiume of Huron, a brother Richard Black of Vienna four sisters; Mrs Betty O'Lenick of Columbiana, Mrs Ruth Caldwell of Sharon, Pa, Mrs Albert Caldwell of Greenville, Pa and Mrs Irene Davis of Vienna 19 grandchildren and a great grandchild. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Madasz Funeral Home, Brookfield where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
