WAGNER - Edward C., 66, New Florence, died Sept. 25, 2005, at Latrobe Regional Health -- Rehab Center. Born May 18, 1939, in New Kensington, the son of the late Omer and Virginia (Erbb) Wagner. Also preceded by Ted and Hazel (Gill) Short, who helped raise him; sister-in-law, Pat Short; nephew, William Wagner; and several other family members. Survived by wife and best friend, Mary; stepchildren, Rose Mary Blough, and husband, Ken, New Florence, and James P. Shaulis, and wife, Maria, Indiana; three stepgrandchildren; brothers, James Wagner, and wife, Janet, Ligonier; Omer Wagner, and wife, Nancy, Robinson; Daniel Short, Bolivar; special nephew and niece, Jim and Tam Wagner, New Florence; also several other nieces, nephews and family members. Member of Cement Mason Local 526, Pittsburgh. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dr. Floyd A. Hall. Interment, Fort Palmer Cemetery.

William D. Wagner 29 of Bolivar died Wednesday May 1, 2002. He was born Sept. 27, 1972 in Johnstown a son of a James R Sr. and Janet S Colbert Wagner of Bolivar RD1. Mr Wagner was employed as a liner technician for Atlantic Lining based in New Jersey. He was a 1991 graduate of Laurel Valley Senior High School. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish, and spend time with friends. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Staci L Penrod Wagner, and children, Amber, Nicole, Ashlee and Zachary; Also a sister Mrs. Timothy (Carol) Loughran, New Florence; brothers, James R Jr. and Thomas R both of New Florence RD1 his in-laws, Carl and Becky Penrod of Ligonier; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services were held Sunday in Bolivar United Methodist Church with Rev. R Kenneth Keiper officiating. Interment followed in Germany Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made for the benefit of his wife and children to JPMFC, c/o 144 e. main St., Ligonier, PA. 15658 McCracken Funeral Chapel, Bolivar, was in charge of the arrangements.

WARFEL - Arthur C. Warfel Sr., 82, of Bolivar, died Sunday, March 12, 2006, at Beacon Ridge, Indiana. He was born Thursday, April 19, 1923, in Bolivar, a son of the late Walter and Cora Miller Warfel. Prior to his retirement in 1985, he had been employed by Latrobe Steel for over 20 years. He was a World War II veteran, having served with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Bolivar United Methodist Church, the Bolivar American Legion #128 and the Robinson VFW #9310. Art loved to travel to visit his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed collecting and polishing precious stones, boating on the Potomac River and growing rare Daylilies in the Spring with his neighbors. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by a daughter, Karen Lombardi of Oracle, Ariz.; three sons: Arthur C. (and his wife, Amelia) Warfel of Shreveport, La.; William R. (and his wife, Judy) Warfel of Scottsville, Va.; and Ronald C. (and his wife, Dolores) Warfel of Orlando, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Burrus of Dana Point, Calif., and Janet Houston of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; a brother, Ronald Warfel of Hernando, Mich.; and a brother-in-law, Charles Robertson of Bolivar. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sara Cline Warfel, in 1982; a son, Wayne Warfel; and a sister, Ruth Robertson. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the at the J. Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel Inc., 536 Market St., Bolivar, where a funeral service will be held Friday, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. R. Kenneth Keiper officiating. Interment will follow in the Bolivar Westview Cemetery, Bolivar.

Olive Claire West, 97 of Bolivar RD1 died Monday, Dec. 25, 1995 in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. Mrs. West the oldest member of the Bolivar First Church of Christ was born March 12, 1898 in Fairfield Twp., Westmoreland County, daughter of the late William G and May Crusan Muir. Survivors include four children, Ornetta Bard and Earl G and wife Sally, Bolivar RD1, Robert W. and wife Eleanor, Jeannette and Arthur E and wife Olive, New Florence; Also 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Helen Shetler and Vesta Garland, both of Bolivar RD1 and a daughter-in-law Jane Stiffey West of Pitcairn. She was preceded in death by her husband John Scott in 1971, her brothers Clyde and Glenn, her sister Ethel Shetler , Her son John Sherwin, a grandson, Brian West and a son-in-law, Escoe Bard. Services were held Thursday at the First Church of Christ, Rev. Gabriel G Mraz officiating. Interment followed in Fort Palmer Cemetery, Fairfield Twp., McCracken Funeral Home, Bolivar in charge. Memorial donations were suggested to the First Church of Christ, Bolivar.

WITT - Mrs. Rose 63, 561 Fairfield Avenue dies at 10:45 p.m. July 2, 1950, in her home. Born Feb. 13, 1887 in Johnstown, daughter of James and Sophia (Bowser) McMahon. Survived by two brothers--James McMahon, South Fork, and William , Natrona, and two sisters--Miss Emma and Miss Ruth, both of Pittsburgh. Friends received Monday at A. A. Wagner Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Norman E. Koehler. Interment, Benshoff Hill Cemetery.

Born Aug. 16, 1887 in Johnstown, a son of John F. and Catherine (Fry) Witt.. Preceded in death by wife, the former Rose McMahon, who died six years ago. Survived by sister, mentioned. Friends received after 11 a.m. Wednesday at late home. Service there at 2 p.m. Friday. Interment, Grandview Cemetery, Military rites will be conducted by Johnstown Post 294 American Legion.
