NOTE BOOK OF NATHAN PAIN, JR. (R. I.)

A note book with 9 pages of the vital records of one generation of the of Nathan Pain (Paine), Jr. and two generations of the Walling family of Rhode Island is given below.

Burrillville is located in Burrillville Township, which is southwest of Harrisville, Providence County, in the extreme northwest corner of Rhode Island. Glocester and Chepachet are in Glocester Township, just south of Burrillville Township. The old Walling homestead is about halfway between Harrisville and Nasonville which is near the north boundary of Rhode Island. The farmhouse was built in 1812 by John Walling (No. 5) land originally taken up from the Indians in 1668 by Thomas Walling (No. 1). It was owned in 1930 by Ellwood Walling, son of Nathan P. P. Walling (son of John, No. 5).
