Gardner Drowned At Narragansett Pier

Narragansett Pier, Sept. 11-Charles JAMESON , a gardner for Mrs. Arthur Hale of Philadelphia, who has a cottage here, was drowned late yesterday while bathing at Scarborough Beach, the undertow taking him down before help could reach him. Four persons were rescued by lifeguards during the afternoon.

During the last two weeks lifeguards have rescued 25 persons at Old Beach.
