Edward Goethie Sr. Burton - Edward Goethie, Sr. 89, died September 14, 2005.  Survivors: sons, Rufus, Benjamin, Samuel, Douglas, Edward, Jr., Clifford and David; two daughters, Alma and Edrina; other relatives.  Funeral: 10 a.m. September 19, 2005, at St. Paul Baptist Church, Burton. Burial: Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors. Marshel Wright Donaldson Home for Funerals (Savannah Morning News (GA) - September 18, 2005)  Mable Goethie BURTON - Services for Mable Goodwine Goethie, 83, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Beaufort National Cemetery. Marshel's Wright-Donaldson Home For Funerals is in charge. Mrs. Goethie died Wednesday. Born in Beaufort County, she was a daughter of the late Gussie and Francine Robinson Goodwine. Surviving are her husband, Edward Goethie, Sr.; sons, Benjamin, Samuel, Douglas, Edward Jr., Clifford and David Goethie, all of Beaufort; daughters, Alma Goethie of Brooklyn, N.Y., Edrina Dilligard of Beaufort; 19 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three adopted grandchildren.
