JOHN SCARBOROUGH

John Scarborough, a farmer of Lancaster County, South Carolina was born about 1767. In 1849 he gave a Deed of Gift to Joel Ashcraft in exchange for care during his elder years.

The Aaron W. Knight Diary, printed by The Carolinas Genealogical Society, contains information about people and events for the counties of Chesterfield, Kershaw and Lancaster. The following entry can be found in Knight’s journal: John Scarborough died July 15, 1858

John Scarborough’s kindred connection to the Ashcraft family, if any, is unknown.
