On an old Lyles estate in Fairfield County, SC, on Little River near Brown's Bridge is a well kept family burial lot, inclosed [sic] by a handsome iron fence.  Here is found in the center of the lot a family monument with the following inscriptions.

Nathaniel T. Lyles, born Nov. 9, 1811, died Dec. 28, 1858 and his wife, Elizabeth T. Lyles, born Oct. 14, 1817, died May 30, 1887.
James. T. Lyles, born Mar. 8, 1814, died Sep. 30, 1864.
Mrs. Sallie E. Bolick, born Oct. 19, 1850, died Jan. 4, 1904.
J. R. Arlege, born Jan. 12, 1825, died Aug. 12, 1897.

B. T. Lyles Mar. 19, 1843--Dec. 20, 1897
C. M. Lyles Nov. 2, 1845--Sep. 13, 1897

[Half dozen unmarked graves]

Marie Lyles Feb. 13, 1875--Jan. 26, 1885
