Full name:  JAMES WILEY WHITE.  Present post office: Ethelville; Was born on 17 Oct. 1834 in the county of Curshaw Dist in the state of SC; First entered the service as private on Mch 25, 1862 at Carrollton, Ala. in the Co. C., 41st Ala. and continued until captured 25 Mch 1865
