Beth-Eden Lutheran Church
Newberry Counnty, South Carolina Genealogy Trails

Beth Eden was organized in 1843 by Rev. G. H. Brown with the church building dedicated the following year. The first year, the church flourished, but the Sumter National Forest encompassed the church and cemetery and stifled the existence of the congregation.

The church is in a parish with St. James but many members have united with other congregations.

A small cemetery resides close to the church.

150th Anniversary - 1993
