Newberry, May 21 - The final examinations for the senior class of Newberry college closed Friday. First honor was won by Miss Gladys Stilwell of Silverstreet, and second honor by Carl L. Epting of Chapin.
Members of the class and their subjects were selected to speak on commencement day, June 7, are as follows: Carl L. Epting, "Our College;" I. N. Merchant, "Not by Bread Alone;" C. J. M. Blume, "The Greater Americanism;" Miss Gladys Stilwell, valedictory.
The entertainment committee of the Newberry College club, I. H. Hunt, chairman, is busy preparing to entertain during commecement. All alumni, former students and all minister of the Southern synod of South Carolina are asked to write Mr. Hunt if they want entertainment. The dinner committee, Prof. O. B. Cannon, chairman, is preparing for the luncheon to be given in the old court house at 10 o'clock, June 7.
