Ebenezer Methodist Church
Newberry County, South Carolina

Ebenezer (Maybinton), was the first Methodist church in Newberry county, founded in the 1780's. It's third meeting house was razed in the 1970's but no regular services have been held for some time... An old cemetery marks the existence of this church.  See Member Register 1898-1934.

Ebenezer United Methodist Church was organized in 1814 south of Silverstreet. It was first known as Watson's Camp Grounds. It has over 100 members and is one of the churches in the Newberry Circuit.
A cemetery is located near by, approx. 2½ miles SE of Newberry
