Enoree Baptist Church

Newberry County, South Carolina

Enoree Baptist Church is the oldest Baptist church in Newberry County. It was organized in 1768 as members of Bethel parish. Enoree later joined Salem Association (1845-1863), then transferred to Fairfield Association (1863) and then to Reedy River Association (1826 to present).

Enoree was originally located at Littleton's Ferry on Enoree River moving to it's present location - near Keitt's Crossroads. The original church was an attractive frame building that has been brick veneered.

The church supports a cemetery.
