James King “J.K.” Inman, Jr., 75, of Newberry, died March 13, 2006 at his residence.
Born in Union, he was a son of the late James King Inman, Sr. and Lillie Bell Gregory Inman. Mr. Inman attended Newberry College and was retired after 35 years as a sergeant with the S.C. Highway Patrol. He was a member of Aveleigh Presbyterian Church where he was a Deacon, Elder, a Choir Member and a member of the Spirit of Aveleigh Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Newberry YMCA and the S.C. Troopers Association.
Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline Goldsmith Inman; a son, James Kenneth (Beth) Inman of Pomaria; a daughter, Natalie (Mark) Horne of West Columbia; a special nephew, Von Sinclair; grandchildren, Casey, Katie and Krista Inman and Evan and April Horne.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Aveleigh Presbyterian Church by the Rev. George Day. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
