South Carolina Genealogy Trails Marriage books are kept in the Probate Office.  Book 1 is divided into white and colored applicants from 1911 - 1971.  Book 2 lists applicants without separation of race from 1972 - 1993.  Book 3 begins with 1994 - present.  All three books are indexed by male and female.  I have complied this index by groom applicants for sake of space and have indexed only years 1911-1939.  Use the search feature on the main Newberry County page to find the bride applicants.  Copies of original applications can be obtained through this office.  Their address is listed on the Probate page.
