Mr. M. D. Kinard born in
Newberry District, S. C., October 15, 1828, and remained in
Newberry a citizen respected by all who knew him in Co. F, being a
part of the 20th Regt. S. C. V... killed 12th May 1864 in the
Battle of Spottsylvania C. H. By request of his sister, Mrs. E.
Black, of Smith county, Miss., the writer preached his funeral

Berly, in the 67th year of his age, remains were conveyed to
Newberry and interred in the family burying ground. He did not

Hospital, Richmond, Va., Mr, Wesley Werts, of Typhoid Pneumonia.
His remains were brought to his father's, in Newberry District, S.
C., and buried in the family cemetery. He was one among the first
to volunteer to fight the battles of his country, a consistent
