Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church

Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church is located a mile north of Little Mountain and was organized by the Rev. J. A. Sligh in 1880. He served as pastor for the first twelve years while pastor of St. Paul's. In 1892 the church was put in a parish with Grace and remained in there till 1914, when it joined in with Mt. Pilgrim and Mt. Olivet parishes.

The brick building was erected in 1925. It was dedeicated in 1927, being debt free. A new brick parsonage was built in 1949 and a parish education building in 1962.

Sons of the church given to the ministry are: L. P. Boland, Voight Cromer, and H. W. Dowd.
