Boozer Brothers first grocery & market on lower Main Street. Later they had a store in the 1300 block of Main Street

Downtown Newberry, Main Street in the 1940's

W. J. (left) & Martha (middle) Bedenbaugh Restaurant was located on lower Main St. "Blue Eye" Dickert on the right.

E. M. Lane's Store - M. Lane in center, with clerks Andrew and Edgar Cromer behind the counters.

The Goodyear store was located on the 1400 block of Main street. In front of the store are Jimmie Stevens, Mr. Cole - manager, and Carol Devore. The gentleman to the right is unknown.

Central Drug Store was located on the 1200 block of Main street. Behind the soda fountain are Hayne Shealy, Dr. Irvin Satterwhite, Sr., and Tom Dorrity

R. D. Smith's first wholesale grocery business. It was built between the railroad tracks.

Summer & Hipps Store

Lominack & Reighley Store, 1910 - this is when it first opened up on 1313 Main St. Mr. Asbill, watchmaker, Mr. W. Reighley - owner, Mr. R. B. Lominack - owner, Mr. Livingston. The store changed it's name to Reighley & Buford in 1923
