Newberry - George T. Oxner, 67, of 1204 Hillcrest Road, died Thursday, March 7, 2002. Survivors: Wife, Jewel Fulmer Oxner; daughters, Debbie Jordan of Summerville and Tracie Shealy of Newberry; a brother, Harvey W. Oxner; and two grandchildren. Predeceased: Parents, W. Boyd and Irene Smith Oxner; a sister, Mary Boyd O. Cox; and brothers, John M. and Rudolph Oxner.

NEWBERRY — Services with burial for Estelle W. Oxner, 73, are 1 p.m. Saturday (viewing at noon) at Brown Chapel AMEC, where she was a member, directed by Wilson Funeral Home. Born in Newberry Co. to Thomas and Sallie Werts, she died April 17, 2007. Surviving: husband, Vernon; son, Kenneth; granddaughters, Kenecia, Kyland; sisters, Mildred Crump, Lily Wertz, Veronica Singleton, Sallie Cannon.
Mrs. Andrena Thomasson Oswald, 78, formerly of Newberry, and 718 Muddy Springs Road, Lexington, widow of O'Dell A. Oswald, died Sunday, July 13, at Lexington Medical Extended Care.
Mrs. Oswald was born in Newberry, a daughter of the late Andrew C. and Madena Scott Thomasson. She was a retired employee of Senn Trucking Co. and she was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She was a children's Sunday School teacher for over 20 years.
Mrs. Oswald is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edward O. and Margaret Ann Oswald of Lexington; a sister, Genevieve T. Senn of Silverstreet; a brother, Frank S. Thomasson of Leesville; two grandchildren, Bryan E. Oswald and Angela Ann Holladay; two great-grandchildren, and a step-great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Central United Methodist Church by Rev. Dennis Lee. Interment will be in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday at the Whitaker Funeral Home.

Newberry, Nov. 5 - John Ogden died at his home, on O'Neall street, West End, yesterday evening at 7 o'clock, age abut 55 years. He had lived in Newberry many years and was a skilled mechanic with the C. C. Davis Contracting company and had many friends, He leaves a wife and two children. The funeral services, conducted by the Rev. H. W. Stone, were held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock and the interment was in Rosemont cemetery.
On Friday last this community sustained the loss by death of Mrs. Helen O’Neall, relict of the late lamented Chief Justice Belton O’Neall. Mrs. O’Neall has been in delicate health from early life, yet survived all the friends of her youth and has gone to her grave beloved by all in her 74th year.
Newberry, March 31 - Thomas J. Oxner died at his home near Kinards last night at 12 o'clock of heart failure, after a very short illness. He will be buried Friday afternoon at Fairview Baptist church. Mr. Oxner was 46 years old, and is survived by his wife.
NEWBERRY - Pearl Koon Oxner, 94, formerly of 567 Kings Creek Road, Newberry, widow of M. Alan Oxner, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, at White Oak Manor in Newberry.
Mrs. Oxner was born on April 5, 1912, in Newberry County, a daughter of the late George O. and Emma McCarthy Koon. She was a retired hostess for the Newberry Community Hall, was a member of Beth-Eden Lutheran Church and was an Honorary Life Member of the Smiling Swingers Square Dance Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Nan O. Cain of Newberry; two sons and daughters-inlaw, George M. and Lou Oxner and Bobbie Alan and Sandra Oxner, all of Whitmire; a sister, Fannie K. Chandler of Laurens; a sister-in-law, Margaret Rivers of Easley; eight grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Marie Brown and two brothers, George Koon and Frank Koon.
Funeral services will
be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Beth Eden Lutheran Church by the Rev. Rodney
Gunter. Interment will be in Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today

Kenneth Ray Osborne
ALBERMARLE, N.C. - Kenneth "Kenny" Ray Osborne, 45, of Albermarle, N.C., died April 29, 2006, at his residence.
Mr. Osborne was born on Jan. 16, 1961, in Fort Leonardwood, Mo., a son of Theodore Scott Osborne and Betty Morris Brunson. He was an employee of Southern Pipe Company and an Army veteran.
Mr. Osborne is
survived by his mother and step-father, Betty and Marvin Brunson of Norway; four
brothers, David Osborne of Rockwell, N.C., James Osborne of Weissport, Pa.,
Randy and Chad Brunson both of Norway; a step-brother, Don Brunson of Swansea; a
number of aunts and uncles; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by his grandparents, Hoyt and Margaret Morris. Family funeral
services will be at Colony Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Owens
NEWBERRY - Faith Dewey Owens, 54, of 11379 SC Highway 121, Newberry, died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at her residence.
Miss Owens was born on May 27, 1950 in Newberry, a daughter of Mary Livingston Owens and the late Chaplain Albert D. Owens. She was a member of Colony Lutheran Church, a member of the choir, and a member of W.E.L.C.A. She was employed by Creative Product Marketing, Inc. of Newberry.
Miss Owens is survived by her mother, Mary Livingston Owens of the home; a sister and brother-in-law, Aleesa Elizabeth O. and William D. Vaughan of Clinton; an aunt and her spouse, Mary and Broadus Lipscomb of Newberry and a nephew and his spouse, Johnathan Lewis and Jodi Aull of Taylors.
Funeral services for Faith Dewey Owens will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Colony Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jerry Trantham. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence, 11379 SC Hwy. 121, Newberry.
