The first Mt. Bethel Academy frame school building was created by the Methodists in 1877 on George Lane Place on the Wendt farm and lasted until 1919. During the summer of 1919 Mt. Bethel, Garmany, and McCreery Schools were consolidated into one school called the Mt. Bethel-Garmany School with M. Cromer superintendent. Three teachers in 1920 taught 69 students. |
