Silverstreet Lutheran Church

Silverstreet Lutheran Church was established in the village of that name in 1908 with twenty-five members. A building was erected in the next year and pastors were supplied from the faculty of Newberry College. Rev. S. P. Koon was the first pastor. When the Rev. Thomas F. Suber became pastor in 1919, the church was self supporting.

A new church was built in 1951. Rev. L. Boyd Hamm came from this church.
