Zion Methodist Church was organized in 1813 and is located on the road from Prosperity to Batesburg being moved there in 1829.

It's located in the Columbia District and has over 300 members.

Zion Methodist Church supports a cemetery, with the old section next to the church and a newer cemetery close by.
