Willie G. Fuller Dies; Funeral Plans Incomplete
Willie G. Fuller, 93, retired farmer, of 302 Oliver Street, West Columbia, died suddenly at 5:10 yesterday afternoon at his home. Mr. Fuller was a member of Capers’ Chapel Methodist Church in the Dutch Fork section. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. W. E. Meetze of West Columbia, Mrs. R. G. Hedgepath of Columbia, Mrs. L. J. Watson of Charlotte, N. C., W. L Fuller of Strother, C. O. Fuller of Monticello, G. B. Fuller of Newberry, and E. G. Fuller of California; 43 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at Thompson Funeral Home.

(Note: This article left out the name of 4th daughter, Berdell Fuller of Little Mountain) Submitted by Dean LongMrs. George Ann Elizabeth Fuller, 62, wife of W. G. Fuller, died at 5 o’clock yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. E. Meetze of 83 Oliver Street, New Brookland, after and illness of long duration.
She was a member of Capers’ Chapel Methodist church near Peak, where she formerly lived. For the last six weeks she had been in Columbia for medical treatment and for the last two weeks of that time she had been staying with her daughter in New Brookland. Before marriage she was Miss George Ann Elizabeth Amick of Peak. Her many friends regret to learn of her death.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. W. E. Meetze of New Brookland, Mrs. R. C. Hedgepath of Columbia, Mrs. L. J. Watson of Oxford, N. C., and Miss Berdell Fuller of Peak, six sons, H.C. Fuller of Strother, W. L. Fuller of Dawkins, G. B. Fuller of Newberry, Carl R. Fuller of Charlotte, Clarence Fuller, and Glenn Fuller of Peak; one sister, Mrs. George H. Meetze of Peak; two brothers, T. W. Amick of Peak, and J. H. Amick of Spartanburg; also by 25 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock this afternoon at her residence near Peak, conducted by the Rex. E. Z. Pence, pastor Mt. Tabor Lutheran church, assisted by the Rec. Mr. Weeks, pastor of Chapin Methodist church. Interment will take place in the family burial ground.
The pallbearers will be’ James E. Eargle, Y. L. Addy, B. Y. Summers, Levi Stuck, Evans Eargle and Sinerand Summers.

Special to The StateLexington- Feb. 23- Funeral services for Mrs. Aquilla Derrick, 73, mother of Dr. S. M. Derrick of the University of South Carolina, will be held Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at St. Thomas’ Lutheran church. The Rev. J.D. Wessinger will conduct the rites and interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Derrick died suddenly near Chapin yesterday afternoon.
In addition to Dr. Derrick she is survived by he following daughters and sons; Mrs. H. Julian Shealy, Chapin; Mrs. P. H. Derrick and Mrs. P. F. Shealy of Lexington; E. B. Derrick and G. A. Derrick of Chapin; the Rev. J.P. Derrick, Woodstock, Va.; R. A. Derrick, Veteran’s Hospital, Columbia. One daughter, Mrs. E. M. Stoudemire died about three years ago. Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be member of her church’s council. (1935) Submitted by Dean Long
