Married on Thursday evening the 12th inst., by the Rev. Mr. Parsons, Mr. John Pitts, merchant, to Miss Martha Barnes, all of Sumter District. (Marriage & Death Notices from Camden, S.C. Newspapers, 1816-1865 by Brent Holcomb, issue Dec. 18, 1822)

Neal-Odell

Sumter, June 16 - Yesterday, at noon Miss Mamie Neal and C. L. Odell were married at the Dennis house on east Liberty street. Rev. c. C. Brown officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Odell will make their home in Darlington. Mrs. Odell was the daughter of the late C. N. Neal of Privateer. (The State - June 17, 1911)
