MOTHER OF WHITE LAKE WOMAN NOTES 100TH BIRTHDAY AT SOLDIERS HOME
Hot Springs - Mrs. Mary Hardacre will be feted by State Soldier Home
residents today in observance of her 100th birthday.
Mrs. Hardacre was born in Illinois, and after her marriage lived in LeMars, Iowa, and Wakonda, S.D.
She reared 11 children, several of whom are live. the oldest is 80, and the youngest 56.
(Mrs. George Reeves of White Lake, is Mrs. Hardacre's daughter. Only two of her other children live in the state, Mrs. Mayme Beaton of Philip and Harry of Hot Springs.)
She also has 104 other descendants - 34 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, and seven great, great grandchildren.
She has been a patient at the home four years, but leaves every summer to visit her children.
Mrs. Hardacre was active until she was 93, when she fell and broke a hip. Another fall three years later broke the other hip. She is confined to a wheelchair.
