Location:
Section 13, Township 44N, Range 32W - Rocky Ford Township
History:
This cemetery, located in Rocky Ford Township, is on a hill overlooking a creek to the west, prairie to the east, hills to the south, and the White River breaks to the north.
It has a good woven wire fence around it but some of the gravesites are outside the fence - they are unmarked. Access is by a road (trail) from the north.
The cemetery was organized about 1902 by Indians who were camped in the area at that time. In 1916, the American Missionary Society was deeded the SE 1/4 of Sec. 13 and they build a church on it and fenced off the burial ground. It was still in use in 1937. The church is gone and the cemetery has little if any care.
