Location:
Section 3, Township 44N, Range 32W - Rocky Ford Township

History:
This abandoned cemetery was organized on 28 February 1918 by Indians in the vicinity. The Catholics built a church nearby and both became known as Saint James. The WPA Grave Survey indicates that the cemetery was used by both Catholics and Episcopalians. The church has been moved but the steps and parts of the foundation remain. The cemetery is about 50-75 yards southeast of the foundation. One headstone remains and it is broken. There is some barbed wire laying around in the grass and the graves are hardly visible.

Floyd Iwan helped Milo get to the cemetery for the picture1.

Floyd called later and said he had been told that the bodies from this cemetery had been removed to Rosebud, but I have left the information in for reference material.
