BROWN, Franklin M. 14 Nov. 1833
Bedford County Petitioner is E. W. Brown and he says that Franklin M. Brown and Polly Anthony were married 8 Jan. 1826, and that on 16 April 1826, she delivered a fine looking child. They separated, then tried again to live together, but could not. Statement by Katherine Brown, who says she was present the day the child was born, and says that since that time Polly has had another child.
Franklin M. Brown was married in January 1826 to Polly Anthony of Bedford County. About 4 months after they married, she had a child, not Franklin’s. Polly said it was the child of her cousin, Alfred Anthony. The whereabouts of Polly Anthony Brown after 1833 is not known, nor the names of her two children.
