Michael was in the Revolutionary War and has Daughters of American Revolution Marker. He was the son of Martin and Maria Kreuter Fisher and the grandson of Frederick and Sybilla Fisher that cames from Germany. Michael married Christina Earnhart Nov. 23, 1786 in Rowan County, North Carolina. Christina Earnhart was born Feb. 19, 1764 in Germantown, Pa. Died April 9, 1830 in Bedford County, TN. Michael was a leader in both religious and civic affairs. He and Christiana came to Bedford County, TN. in early 1800's, settling on the Hall Mills Road on 1000 acres of land. He was a charter member and elder in the New Hope Lutheran Church now known as Crowell Chapel. Both are buried in the Crowell Chapel Cemetery. They had 14 children: Jacob, Phillip, Elizabeth, Christian, Martin, Margaret, Mary, George, Anna, Michael, Sarah, Mary Ann, Amy and John Fisher. Christina Earnhart (wife of Michael) was the daughter of Johan Phillip and Elizabeth Ehrenhart (Earnhart). Their children were: Jacob, Phillip, Elizabeth, Christian, Martin, Margaret, Mary, George, Anna, Michael, Sarah, Mary Ann, Amy, and John Fisher.
