BEN PARKER
, a well known farmer of the Flat Creek community died Friday morning at his home after a long and painful illness. Funeral services were held at the late residence Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, with Rev Ernest Bryant of Humboldt officiating.. The buraial was in the Flat Creek cemetery. The Masonic order, of which he was a member, conducted the services at the grave. Mr. Parker was a member of a prominent family, the son of the late J. B. Parker and Mrs. Rosana Reagor Parker, pioneer citizens of the community. The passing of this good man removes from the county one of its most progressive farmers and a good citizen. He served as president of the Bedford County Farm Bureau, and was actively interested in the county's affairs. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Bobo Parker and three children, a son Leonard Parker, two daughters; Mrs. Clyde Landers and Mrs. Sam Rutledge of Shelbyville, two sisters; Mrs. F. P. Hix, Shelbyville, a brother, Frank Parker of Winchester.

BETTIE (BROADWAY) BOBO PARKS
, aged 85 yers, one of the oldest persons in the county, died suddenly at her home Friday morning. She was affectionately called "Aunt Bet." She had been twice married, her first husband was Elijah Bobo, and several years after his death, she married the late Rufus Parkes. Before her marriage she was Bettie Broadway, a member of a prominent pioneer family. She had been a devoted member of the Church of Christ for years, and was always present for services unless sickness prevented. Funeral services were conducted at the Christian Chruch Saturday afternoon by Elder D.E. Mason, of Fayetteville. Burial was in the Lynchburg cemetery. She is survived by two half sisters, Mrs. Arthur Hinkle, of Pecos, Texas, and Mrs. Ada O'Neal of Pelham. Two double cousins, Mrs. Dick Daniel of this city, and M.C. Motlow, of Chattanooga, besides a number of other relatives. --- Moore County News.

GRACE (WRATEHR) KING PEARSON
- Funeral services for Grace Wrather King Pearson, 89, who died Saturday at her home in Murfreesboro, were to be held 2:30 p.m. today at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial was to follow in Roselawn Cemetery. A native of Leanna, she was the wife of the late Chares Brandon King who died in 1974, and the of Lee Roy Pearson, who survives. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Ada Pierce Wrather. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a retired seamstress. Survivors in addition to her husband include three daughters, PatriciaStewart of Shelbyville, Peggy Campbell of Dangerfield, Texas, and Deborah Baker of Lascassas; a son Jerry King of Gadsden Ala; a brother Leland Wrather of Nashville; two sisters, Lucille Ballinger of Lebanon and Daisy Murray of Shelbyville; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

RAYMOND GLEN PHILLIPS
- Funeral services were held for Glen May 4. 2006 at the New Hope chapel. He passed away in Minnesota and it was his desire to be buried at New Hope because he had so many pioneer relatives buried in this cemetery. He spent a lot of his time looking up his roots and long lost relatives.
He was survived by his wife, Frances Philpot Phillips, two daughters Felicia, Carvar, Mn and Angela( Jason )Habalar of Portland, Or He was the son of AnnieMae Phillips and the

MRS. MARLIN PRINCE
- Rites for Mrs. Marlin Prince, 57, who died of a heart attack Monday morning at her home near Bell Buckle, were conducted Tuesday afternoon by Elder Clyde Gleaves at the Bell Buckle Church of Christ. Burial was in the Bedford cemetery at Bedford. She is survived by her husband, Marlin Prince; five daughters, Mrs. Boyd Hooten of Bedford; Mrs. Robert Taylor of Eagleville; Mrs. Drennan Pruitt, Mrs. James Spence and Miss Rebecca Prince, all of Bell Buckle; ten grand children, two sisters and five brothers. Mrs. Prince a native of Bedford, had resided in Bell Buckle for ten years. She was a devout member of the Bell Buckle Church of Christ.
