Former Circuit Court Clerk of Benton County; born at Holladay Penn. Feb. 24, 1873; English, German, Scotch-Irish de­scent; Son of John M. and Rachel B.. (Matthews) Holladay; paternal grand­parenti George W. and Catherine (Crider) Bolladay; maternal graudparents Joseph R. and Sally B. (Byan) Mat­thews. Educated in Benton County schools with B.S. degree Holladay Independent Normal. Member F. & A. M.; K of F’s; I.O.O.F.; Redman; W.O.W. aud M.W.A. Had many various connec­tions: Camdeu City School director; U. S Census Enumerator; member Benton County Finance Committee; director of Benton County Bank; manufacturer of tobacco, lumber and stave manufacturer; Elder in Cumberlaud Presbyterian Church; member Benton County Quar­terly Court; and others. Married Mary Eudora Byrd Dec. 27 1892.
