Clerk and Master Chaucery Court; daughter of D. D. and Sarah Ann (Goodman) Byrd, born Sept 22, 1872; educated in the public schools of Benton County, Tennessee; paternal grandparent William T. and Temperance (Marvin) Byrd; maternal grandparents David and Elizabeth (DePriest) Goodman; actively engaged in temperanee work having served the W.C.T.U. in many capacities: Chairman of Liberty Loan Drive (Women’s Division) during World War; United Daughter’s of Confederacy; Missionary Society of Cumberland Presbyterian Church of which she is a member; Democrat; Appointed Clerk and Master of the Chancery Court by Chancellor Torn C. Rye on August 17, 1935. Was married to George Blanton Holladay, Dec. 27, 1892; mother of four children; Ruth Vivian McMillan, John Milton, George Byrd, and Ann Rachel Peck and has five grandchildren - Ann Blanton and Mary Jane McMillan; John Milton, Jr and George Erwin Holladay and Carolyn Ann Peck.
