Cleveland, Tenn. July 13.--As the August elections draw nigh county politics are being freely discussed, and the only question in the county is the one of magistrates. Bradley is at least 500 Republican, and no fears of the defeat of any of the county officers. The ticket before the people is a good one, and will command the full support of the party. Even some of our mugwump friends are coming back into the fold, and promise full repentance.

The Harrison and Morton Club is growing rapidly and promises to be the largest political organization ever organized in the county. Arrangements are being made to have a grand rally here in the near future. Speakers from abroad will be invited, and a regular republican "love-feast", may be expected. Our democratic friends are still fighting over Bates and Snodgrass and the prospect is that neither of them will receive the nomination. John R. Neal has a good chance of re-election, no matter who gets the race. The republicans will carry the district by from 500 to 1,500 majority.

Yesterday our little city was filled with colored excumenists from Knoxville. They had a special train of twelve coaches and all of them filled to over-flowing. They spent the day very pleasantly and returned at 5 p.m. The game of base ball was decided in favor of Knoxville by a score of 25 to 18.

Paul and Morelock have sold their stock of family groceries to Webb and Helms, who will continue the business at the old stand.

Cleveland is soon to have electric lights. The company will commence the erection of their plant at once. With electric lights, telephones, street cars and water works, Cleveland forges ahead of any other town on the E. T. V. & G. line. Northern people see this, and are coming us by the hundreds.

Mr. Ghalston will leave in a few days for New York and will bring back the largest stock of  dry goods ever brought to the city.

Mrs. Cisco, on Berry street, is very low, and can't live many days.

Mr. M. P. Hawk is confined to his room with a bad spell of fever.

Winston McNabb is slowly recovering form a spell of sickness.

The lawn party at Mr. Moorehead's tonight will be an enjoyable affair.

The Cleveland and Benton baseball clubs will cross bats on the ball grounds Saturday.

The new Craigmiles block is nearing completion.

The warm weather is driving many of our people to the springs.

The new democratic paper is "nonest". Democracy don't thrive much in old Bradley.

There are at  least ten candidates for justice in this district, and more coming.
