Born at Paris, Tenn. on Aug. 6, 1877; Chairman, R.R. Commission; Scotch-Irish descent; married Mignonne Maiden on Nov. 18, 1918; son of Hught T. and Sallie Atkins Dunlap; paternal grandparents John H. and Mary Etta Beauchump Cunlap; maternal grandparents J.D.C. Atkins & Elizabeth Bacon Porter Atkins.

Attended publicschools at Paris, Tenn.; Bethel College; and Cumberland University, 1907; LLB.; a member of the Methodist Church; a democrat.

Mr. Dunlap has served on the RR Commission since 1923; State Treasurer of Tenn., 1914-1919, practiced law at Dover, Tenn. Prior to that time. He is the father of two children - Mignonne and Porter.
