COUNTY TENNESSEE
The three younger sons of John and Nannie Cole Snead were Peter, John, and Garland, remained single, visited family in both Carroll and Hardeman Counties, and went into MS before settling in Carroll Co.
John Snead m. 7-3-1834 1st wife Elizabeth David Nowlin. 2nd m. 1838 to her sister Martha Sherod Nowlin,
their children were; Franklin b. 1834, Oscar b. 1840 (Dr. Ott Snead); Jerome b. 1844, Ellen b. 1847 m. Tip Thompson, Elizabeth b. 1850; Jane b. 1853; 3rd m. 8-19-1854 Cornelia A. Jones; children, Edmond 1855, Emma 1857, Jennie 1859, Florence, and James 1862.
Garland Snead b. 1806 m. Amy Kelley of Weakley Co. had several children. He owned a large acreage south of McKenzie, Tn.
Peter Snead m. Mary Ezzell dau. of Harrison & Nannie Gilbert Ezzell of Weakley Co. and had 4 children. Harrison(Toby) at age four fell into a vat of scalding water and died; Emma Dophine m. 2nd Joseph Robert Baker Dinwiddie; John Robert Snead b. 2-24-1854 d. 4-12-1930 m. Winnie Lee Baker and had 3 sons, Robert Baker WW I Veteran, John Luther and David Lee Snead.
Robert Baker Snead m. Dathel Lee and became the parents of Robert Luther Snead who m. Sarah Frances Neal and Winnie Lee Snead who m. Junior Moore of Dresden, Tn. (children Lee Ann & John Moore).
David Lee Snead m. Mattie Maye Austin and had Jack and Shirley Snead.
Mace Snead b. 2-12-1858 d. 12-11-1937 son of Peter and Mary Ezzell Snead. m. 1st wife Lou Emma Cozart Bradberry, 5 children: Henry Grady, McKenzie City Letter Carrier, m. Eva Esther Booth, they reared Maxine, m. John Shirley, Cumberland Presbyterian Minister; children Teresa, Phillip and Jody; Pharye m. Jerald Abernathy, children, Keith & •Angela.
Robert Earl Snead never m; Mace Ezzell

Cozart m. Clyde Penney had one son Edgar
Ray Penney and one grandson Jerry Penney;
