BENNIE RAINEY - Services for the Rev. Bennie Auvern Rainey, 63, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Shiloh United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Rainey, a retired minister for the Memphis Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, died Friday morning at HCA Regional Hospital of Jackson. He was married to Norene Courtney Rainey. They had four sons, Benny A. Rainey and Timothy R. Rainey, both of Milan, Jimmy R. Rainey of McKenzie and Ricky G. Rainey of Atwood. He had three brothers, Harold K. Rainey and Joe C. Rainey, both of Atwood, and Clemial "Ike" Rainey of West Covina, Calif.

FLORA (PENDERGRASS) RAINEY , age 89, widow of Jesse Rainey, died October 10, 1976, at the Carroll County General Hospital. Her parents were the late J.S. Pendergrass and Martha Jane Rigsby Pendergrass. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by two sons, Lewis Pendergrass of Atwood, and Ava Pendergrass of Clarksburg; one sister, Mrs. Florence Brandon of Huntingdon. Services were held at Clarksburg Church of Christ, with Rev. Clifford Lyons officiating on Oct. 12, 1976, at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Sellers Hill Cemetery.

JAMES FINIS RAINEY - Services for James Finis Rainey, 64, of Atwood were at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at Bodkin Funeral Home. Burial was in Pisgah Cemetery. Mr. Rainey, a truck driver for Akin and Porter Product Inc. in Greenfield, died Wednesday, July 19 at Mercy Hospital in Chicago. He was married to Sue Woodward Rainey. They had four children, Nicky Rainey and Cathy Halford, both of Atwood, Patty Rainey Breeden of LaPuente, California, and Tony Gateley of Cedar Grove. He leaves his parents, James Carl and Ruba Rainey, both of Atwood. He also leaves a brother, Rev. Ben Rainey of McKenzie.

MARGARET HELEN RAINEY , 83, of Yuma, Tennessee, died Sunday October 15,2006, at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00PM Tuesday October 17,2006, at Dilday Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Brother Stan Brantley officiating. Miss Rainey was born November 15,1922, in Yuma, Tennessee, to the late Addie and Bevie Mae Wall Rainey. She was educated at Peabody and Bethel Colleges and taught school at Freed Hardeman College, Lexington High School, and retired from Clarksburg High School where she taught English and was the Librarian. She was a member of Yuma Church of Christ and was preceded in death by two brothers Warren and Willie Dee Rainey. She is survived by a brother Thomas (Sara) Rainey of Clarksburg, Tennessee many nieces and nephews.

MALINDA (WEBB) REED , 77, died on Tuesday, June 24 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, June 26 at 11:00 a.m. in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Wendell Boyd officiating. Interment followed at Jamison Cemetery. Mrs. Reed was born June 20, 1926 in Westport to the late Samuel and Erma Lee Hollowell Webb. She was a retired employee for Publix Shirt Corporation and a member of the Westport Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Enloe Reed, a granddaughter, two sisters and two brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Bevia J. Pierson of Plainfield, Indiana and Ruthie L. Foster of Huntingdon; two sons, Thomas W. Reed and Mike H. Reed, both of Huntingdon; three brothers, Lester Webb of Huntingdon, Wilburn Webb of Ft. Worth, Texas and David Webb of Killeen, Texas; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

JANNIE B. RIVERS , 82, died Saturday, March 15, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were Wednesday, March 19, at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Gene Shields officiating. Burial followed in Hopewell Cemetery. Miss Rivers was born January 7, 1926 in Carroll County to the late William Joe Rivers and Rollie (Taylor) Rivers. She was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Jettie B. Butler, Nell Bailey, Dimple Weathers, Lessie Rivers, Willie Mae McCainey; and five brothers, Charles Rivers, Larmon Rivers, Willie B. Rivers, John Rivers and Jim Rivers. Survivors include: one daughter, Barbara (John D.) Williams of Clarksburg; four sisters, Norma (Nathanial) Mebane and Voila Rivers, both of Huntingdon, Robena Hart of Wildersville, Francis Gooch of Lexington; and one brother, Roy Lee Harris of Huntingdon; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Chase Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

LUCILLE THOMAS ROE , Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Thomas Roe, 85, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2002 in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hickory Flatt Cemetery in Carroll County. Mrs. Roe, a homemaker, died Saturday, July 20, 2002 at Laurelwood Health Care. She was born in Carroll County the daughter of the late Dr. T.W. and Della Gateley Thomas and was educated in the county schools, graduating from McLemoresville High School. Mrs. Roe lived in Cedar Grove for many years and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Wilson Roe on February 11, 1999; a daughter, Nancy Roe Haynes and a grandson, Elton Northcutt, Jr. Survivors include a daughter, Molly Lumley of Jackson; two sisters, Louise Newsom of Cedar Grove and Colleen Crnich of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren, Pam Stone and Margaret Holloway; four great grandchildren, Meghan Holloway, Joshua Northcutt, Samantha Northcutt Moncrief and Tony Whitehead.
