CLARENCE GLENN NOBLES , 59, farmer and operator of Nobles Barbecue, died Wednesday night at Jackson-Madison County, General Hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Leon Johnson & Son Funeral Home in Henderson with burial in Unity Chmetery. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Nobles, the husband of Dorothy Rush Nobles, also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Ross of Jacks Creek and Mrs. Glenda Parchman of Pinson; his mother, Mrs. Beulah Nobles of Jacks Creek; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Wright of Jacks Creek; a brother, Rayford Nobles of Jacks Creek; and three grandchildren.

DOROTHY LORRAINE (RUSH) NOBLES - Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Nobles, 60, of Jacks Creek were held Thursday afternoon at Leon Johnson and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Nolen officiating. Burial was in Unity Cemetery. Mrs. Nobles died last Tuesday afternoon at the Jackson Clinic of Henderson after suffering an apparent heart attack.

She was born in Carroll County, daughter of the late Oscar and Pearl Cooper Rush. She moved to Chester County at an early age and graduated from Chester County High School in 1946. She was married to Glen Nobles in 1946 and he died in 1988. She worked for Salant and Salant for many years. For the past 12 years, she and her husband had operated Nobles Barbecue at Jacks Creek. Mrs. Nobles was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She leaves two daugher, Mrs. Carolyn Ross of Jacks Creek and Mrs. Glenda Parchman of Pinson; a brother, Edward L. Rush of Henderson; and three grandchildren, Michelle Parchman of Pinson, Paul Parchman of the U.S. Air Force, and Randy Ross of Jacks Creek.
