George Roland
Settlement with BENJAMIN F. CLOUD, Administrator of the Estate of
GEORGE ROLAND, deceased Amount of former settlement made the 6th January
1837 by Benjamin Sewell and Peter Marcum, Commissioners appointed by the Court
to make the settlement $65.63 ¼
Administrator is entitled first by a voucher filed in the settlement, purporting
to be a copy of the record of judgment obtained against them in the Circuit
Court at the May term of 1837. William Hodges for the use of Hugh Graham vs the
Administrator of George Roland, deceased, in which judgment is awarded for the
above amount, found in their hands unpaid. And a further judgment of the sum of
$166.09 to be paid when they receive the effects of Roland, with cost to the
amount of $10.07.
The last settlement has been made over 15 years and upon the examination of all
the papers produced, it appears that the Administrators have paid $65.63 ¼ and
also the copy of the Record shows the receipt for $10.09 which is that sum over
what has come into their hands; and also there appears to be a judgment or
allowance of a judgment against the Administrators of the sum of $166.09,
reference to the voucher and copy of record and judgment. Also paid Thomas J.
Johnson, the further sum of $2.50 for making and recording this settlement. All
of which is respectfully submitted this 28th day of September 1853.
Thomas J. Johnson, Clerk
